The Kids Show For Adults
It’s the all-ages magic show that’s actually fun for all ages.
This is not a sweet, gentle, clap-along children’s show. Magician Scott Green (Penn & Teller: Fool Us; Chicago Bulls team magician; WGN; ABC; Fox; ESPN) brings the heat: an unhinged, unpredictable performance packed with how-the-%*#&-did-he-do-that moments and side-splitting comedy.
The laughter is infectious — as a stand-up, Scott has been featured at comedy festivals across North America (Laugh After Dark, Vermont Comedy Festival, Athens Comedy Festival, and more).
Is this a show where kids bring their grownups, or a show where grownups bring their kids?
The answer is yes.
PARENTS ARE RAVING
Scott’s like a Pixar movie that hits on a couple levels. Goofy for the kids, smart puns and absurdist humor for the parents.
“The kids were rapt and the adults were laughing out loud.”
The tricks were fantastic, but the jokes were even better.
Scott’s combination of comedy and illusion had perfect appeal, from preschoolers on up.
“The tricks befuddled kids and adults alike.”
“Every kid and adult was fully engaged.”
About Scott
Scott Green started doing this at 12 and never found a good reason to stop.
Since then he has taken the act across the country, in-person and on television. Credits include Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Chicago Bulls’ team magician, comedy festivals from Nevada to Vermont, and more local Chicago TV appearances than he can count.
He has the finest training in deception available in this country: a law degree. A 2009 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, Scott never practiced, choosing instead to do the funniest thing possible to his parents.
Scott Green Lies To Your Kids is the show Scott has been building toward the whole time: one that you’re as excited to see as your children.

What age is this actually for?
All ages, and we mean it. The magic plays for a five-year-old and the jokes play for you. Kids who can sit through a movie can sit through this.
Will my kid get to come on stage?
Maybe! Volunteers get picked from the whole audience every show. We can’t promise your kid specifically — and we never push a kid who isn’t feeling it.
Is there a skunk in the show?
No. The poster is a lie. In fairness, the title did warn you.
How long is the show?
About 60 minutes. You are out the door in time for dinner or bedtime, whichever you are negotiating.
Where exactly is it?
iO Theater, 1501 N. Kingsbury St, Chicago — the Fremont stage. It’s in Lincoln Park, at Kingsbury and North Avenue.
How much are tickets?
$33.90 general admission and $23.40 for kids under 12, fees already included. What you see is what you pay.
Can we come as a big group?
Yes, and you should. Groups of 20 or more can add a private party room at the theater. Details here.
What if we can’t make any of these dates?
More Saturdays get added. Tell us where to reach you and you’ll hear when the next batch goes on sale.
